A well-hidden gem with some great views down Dovedale to keep you entertained while you rest your bettered body in between burns. It is not a big crag but what's there is good: 10. Ringpull has some great steep climbing on amenable holds, 6. Creep is an excellent long extension and 7. Metal Slug should keep the steely-fingered busy for a while.

Approach & access

Plagued with a bad description in older guides, fear not for we will show you the way! From the parking at Milldale walk back down the road and get on the footpath on the west side of the river (i.e. the smaller one, not the main highway which everyone else is on). Follow this until you are underneath Raven's Tor. From here set off diagonally uphill in the direction of the left end of Raven's Tor then keep slogging uphill in the same direction until approximately 53.080833, -1.790944 where you are above the level of the bushes etc. From here contour round the hill on a vague sheep track, passing a rocky knoll via a slim track at 53.079498,-1.791907. You're close now, but beware the final section to get to the crag is not obvious. Trust the pin.
