Approach & access

Multiple options: Either cross the river via the bridge, head up the track and then cut through the trees following deer tracks and avoiding bogs. Slightly longer but probably easier is to continue up the track to above the treeline and then traverse across on deers tracks. Alternatively walk west down the road a few hundred meters and make a straight line across the river and up through the trees. Or from the main ardgour boulders walk up above the treeline and then head east for a few hundred meters.
