A sheltered, south-facing buttress which catches a lot of sun. 2. The Claw and 2a. The Claw Left-Hand are the pick of the bunch, though if you're there why not give some of the other lines a little love?

Approach & access

From Milldale follow the large tourist track southwards down Dovedale, Baley Buttress is the first substantial bit of rock on your left (or east side of the dale). Scramble up.
